Mike Drones & Loëpa are a duo born out of Leeds [UK], pushing a truly unique sound that reflects their abstract, expressionist approach to composition.

Throughout their debut release ‘Bad Habit’ - EP (2019), Loëpa’s tortured, poetic narratives on love, sex & betrayal emerge and disappear behind Drone's gliched-out, churning production. Stylistically, Drones’ production showcases a dizzying proficiency, incorporating elements of footwork, breakbeat and IDM across the project’s five tracks. Whether evoking the colourful trap maximalism of Hudson Mohawke, or a glistening pop sensibility reminiscent of Mura Masa, the project retains a familiar, nocturnal rave-sadness.

In the months to follow, Deep Cover united six of the UK’s most sought-after young producers to release the remix album ‘Still Bad’ - a diverse reimagining of the original project, featuring Klasey Jones, Daniel Ruane, Rednote, Drumterror, Fork & Knife and Hedchef.
